NSF International is an independent, accredited organization which develops standards and offers certification and verification programs for commercial foodservice equipment, specified by health departments, restaurant buyers and specifiers. Commercial food equipment with the NSF mark receives guaranteed regulatory acceptance in North America and improved acceptance worldwide.

Members of HKI benefit from a partnership with NSF International that allows them to work closely with NSF specialists and to understand the NSF sanitation standards and certification program. They receive support in understanding the requirements for the North American market and special benefits when certifying new products. 

Other services offered to members include reduced rates for public workshops and a pre-evaluation service. This service for new machines or prototypes pre-reviews compliance to the applicable NSF Food Equipment standard.
